













Olusanya Babatunde Nathaniel, a dedicated farmer, crypto trader, and current Speaker of the Ekiti State Youth Parliament representing Efon Constituency, is celebrated for his impactful leadership and commitment to youth empowerment. Known for his Extraordinary tenure as the former President of the Federation of Efon alaaye Student Union, he remains highly respected as one of the union’s most impactful leaders. Beyond his professional roles, Olusanya is deeply involved as a Bible scholar, honored as an associate member of the Bible Society of Nigeria due to his exceptional performance in Bible quizzes at local, state, and regional levels as early as 2013.
Educationally accomplished, Olusanya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Federal University Oye Ekiti and is currently pursuing a second degree in Criminal and Security Studies in the same school. His global certifications include Peacebuilding from the United Nations Institute of Peace, Fundamentals of Peace Mediation from the Gandhi King Global Academy, and Governance and Health from USAID's Global eLearning Campus. He has furthered his expertise with qualifications in Unified Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) from the United States National Disaster and Emergency Management University and Youth Strategic Design & Implementation from the United States Institute of Peace amongst others.
As the representative of Efon Constituency, Olusanya has made significant strides:
1. He organized a two-day, three-tier quiz, debate, and essay writing competition spanning secondary, primary, and tertiary institutions, encouraging academic growth among local students.
2. A consistent advocate for Efon youth, he has supported their ambitions and aspirations, facilitated a one-year employment contract for two youths, and advocated for pensionable jobs for others.
3. He has facilitated financial support for needy tertiary students’ school fees, as well as covering some fees himself.
4. Currently, he is on a secondary school tour within his constituency, with the aim of providing essential items like uniforms, sandals, and textbooks to students in need, while revitalizing literary and debating societies to strengthen academic and personal development.
As Speaker of the Ekiti Youth Parliament, Olusanya’s achievements include:
1. Leading a delegation of Parliament members to an international conference, where they returned with nearly ten awards, showcasing the assembly’s dedication to excellence.
2. Presenting a six-month achievement brochure to the Executive Governor, highlighting the parliament’s initiatives and milestones.
3. Organizing outreach initiatives to the Special School in Ikere Ekiti and the Correctional Center on Afao Road in Ado Ekiti, extending support to marginalized communities.
4. Representing Ekiti youths as part of a delegation to the State House Villa in Abuja, strengthening youth engagement at the national level.
5. Being at the forefront of establishing the Ekiti Web3 Community, aiming to encourage digital literacy and innovation among Ekiti youth and positioning them for success in emerging technologies.
Olusanya affectionately known as “Nathans” is renowned for his leadership, critical thinking, and unwavering dedication to empowering Ekiti youths. His mantra, "A financially independent youth is an empowered voice," continues to inspire young people across the state to take active roles in community development and self-sufficiency.
