FESSU Clarifies Position on Ekiti State House of Assembly Canada Trip

The Federation of Ekiti State Students' Union (FESSU) wishes to clarify its stance on the upcoming trip to Canada by members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly (EKHA). After further discussions with key stakeholders, FESSU confirms that this trip is an exclusively self-sponsored retreat, focused on enhancing the professional capacities of the state’s legislators.


In light of this new information, FESSU recognizes the significance of this initiative. The trip aims to foster stronger connections with the Ekiti diaspora in Canada, with the intention of promoting collaborations that will benefit the state’s development.

We acknowledge that our previous statement have caused misunderstandings and inadvertently cast doubt on the commendable efforts of the Ekiti State House of Assembly. As such, we formally retract our prior communication and offer our apologies. FESSU remains fully committed to supporting initiatives that are in the best interest of the people of Ekiti State, and we are steadfast in our dedication to the progress of Ekiti students and the overall advancement of our state.

FESSU reaffirms its commitment to collaborating with all stakeholders, including the Ekiti State House of Assembly, to foster growth, prosperity, and collective progress for Ekiti State.
