In a bid to support education and uplift students within Efon constituency, the Speaker of the Ekiti Youth Parliament, Rt. Hon. Olusanya Babatunde Nathaniel, recently dispatched a dedicated team of appointees to Efon Secondary School. The team was tasked with assessing the immediate needs of students and school facilities in preparation for a forthcoming donation of uniforms, chairs, and tables.

The Speaker’s team took detailed measurements for students with worn or damaged uniforms and noted sandal sizes for those needing new footwear. They also evaluated the condition of the school’s furniture, identifying several lockers, chairs, and tables in need of replacement. These assessments will inform the targeted donations to create a more comfortable and conducive learning environment for the students.

Speaking on the initiative, Rt. Hon. Olusanya Babatunde Nathaniel emphasized the importance of taking action, even in small ways, to address pressing needs within his community. “Doing small things from a small place is better than not doing anything at all,” he remarked, underscoring the value of incremental positive change. He further expressed his dedication to aligning with the vision of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, who has prioritized the welfare of young people across the state. “As emerging leaders, we are role models for the youth who look up to us. It’s essential that we support the Governor’s commitment to youth development by taking meaningful actions that make a real difference,” he added.

The forthcoming donations are part of a broader initiative by Rt. Hon. Olusanya Babatunde Nathaniel to empower the youth and support educational progress in Efon constituency. Students and staff at Efon Secondary School have expressed deep appreciation for the Speaker’s efforts, noting that the donations will greatly enhance their learning environment and foster a renewed sense of motivation among students. The initiative is set to be completed in the coming weeks, marking a transformative step for the school and the community at large.
